The Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSME’s) Day was designated through a resolution passed at the UN General Assembly in 2017.
MSMEs are a vital components of Imo State’s economy and Nigeria at large in terms of its contribution to job creation and GDP.
This time, small businesses have been particularly vulnerable to the impacts of #COVID19, hence, more support is needed to ensure an inclusive and sustainable recovery.
The job creation efforts of the Imo State Government, led by Sen. Hope Uzodimma is commendable. The empowerment of 15,000 youths through the funding of their various learned enterprises is another audacious move to assuage the scourge of unemployment, insecurity and boost the local economies.
