I have constantly resounded our readiness to enter into any partnership that seeks to better the livelihood of Ndi Imo. I keyed this into the subject of discussion at the ongoing Guild of Editor’s Conference in Owerri when I presented my scorecard to the participants.
Titled “THE STORY OF MY SACRED CALL TO DUTY: CHALLENGES AND TRIUMPHS” I gave a synopsis of our stewardship to members of the noble profession. This was necessary owing to the bad light in which the State had been painted by those who weren’t comfortable with the progress we are recording in developing the State.
Given the very important role of the media as the watchdog of our democracy and as the leaders of the fourth estate of the realm, I deemed it important to use this auspicious opportunity of their presence here in Imo State to present how far we have come in delivering good governance and its dividends to Imo people.
After an indept presentation, I charged the participants to independently and professionally assess the progress of the State within the period under review in order to propagate appropriately, the gains of my administration.
We shall yield not to the antics of detractors but remain focused on the goal, which is to rehabilitate, reconstruct and recover our dear State for the good of all.
