Remember how Imo State was destroyed by the same water that affected other regions of the nation?
His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, intervened with relief materials and food items through the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC).
The Governor has officially started distributing federal government relief supplies today.
In his speech, Governor Uzodimma praised President Muhammadu Buhari for the Federal government’s assistance of emergency supplies provided by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
According to the transparency and accountability policies of his Shared Prosperity administration, the governor vowed that he would oversee the careful and equal distribution of relief materials to the impacted flood victims.
He said that in order to prevent a food shortage in the State, efforts are being made to provide farmlands to victims who lost their farms.
More relief items were requested by the Governor to reduce problems in flood-affected areas.
Earlier, a spokesperson from NEMA applauded the Governor for presenting a lifeline of assistance to the flood-affected people in the state.
