His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has received praise from the Nigerian Army for his political tenacity in preserving peace and serenity in Imo and his tenacity in maintaining peace in the state.
Over the flag-off of the military exercise Golden Dawn II 2022, the commander of the 34 Artillery Brigade, Bridger General S. Suleman, expressed his gratitude for the safety of Ndi Imo and other commercial activities during the holiday and election seasons.
In order to establish a tranquil environment where law-abiding citizens can move freely and spend the holiday season, the Commander revealed that the forces would be executing covert and overt operations to remove and dominate all known criminal strongholds in the State.
In his speech, Governor Uzodimma revealed that national insecurity, not only the problem in Imo State, was what led to the start of Exercise Golden Dawn.
The activity, according to the governor, will rekindle Ndi Imo’s confidence, particularly among those who are coming back for the holiday season.
On this occasion, he urged the populace to assist the security forces in ensuring their welfare and safety.
The State’s criminal elements were cautioned by the Governor to abstain from crime or suffer the consequences.
The Governor praised the security agencies for their selfless contributions and efforts, including those who paid the ultimate price, using the Nigerian Army as a compass.
