IMO STATE GOVERNMENT DONATES RELIEF MATERIALS TO FLOOD VICTIMS IN OHAJI/ EGBEMA AND OGUTA LOCAL GOVERNMENTS.

The Shared Prosperity Administration led by his Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has visited and assisted the flood victims in Ohaji /Egbema and Oguta respectively with relief materials and funds through the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC).

The outreach had in attendance the H.E Governor Hope Uzodimma, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Professor Placid Njoku, the ISOPADEC GM, Chief Charles Orie, Minister for state Education Hon. Nana Opiah and a host of other officials who were received by the traditional rulers of the affected communities.

The GM/CEO of ISOPADEC Chief Charles Orie expressed solace with the victims of this unfortunate disaster as he showered encomium and gratitude to the Governor for his expeditious response to this tragic incident. He also disclosed that Governor Uzodimma in his generosity has released funds and palliatives of bags of 50kg rice, mattresses & pillows, blankets, buckets, drinking water, tomatoes, cartons of indomie, amongst others.

Speaking earlier, the Deputy Governor comforted the victims and assured them that the Government is doing more to cushion such natural disasters.
