His Excellency, Gov. Hope Uzodimma has asked the people of imo state as well as the entire Southeast region to take advantage of the 2023 Census to address marginalization.
Governor Uzodimma made this statement at the Imo State Stakeholders Summit on Population and Housing Census Flag-Off Ceremony at the Eze Ndi-imo Palace Mbari, Owerri.
The Governor said that the outcome on every census will have either a negative or a positive impact on everyone, he advised the citizens of Imo state to get fully involved and exercise their civic rights, because a laid-back attitude towards this effect will only be detrimental to them whereby leaving them shortchanged as a state or region.
The speaker, Imo State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Prince Emeka Nduka speaking earlier at the flag-off said that the opportunity for the south-east to count their numerical strength is now and he also said that anyone who impedes the process of the census will be doing a disservice to the people of Imo state and Southeast region.
